OVERVIEW
The Driver/Warehouse staff is responsible for delivering audiovisual equipment from one location to another usually from the warehouse to various locations, when not on the road they will be tasked with returning gear back to inventory, pulling equipment for new orders and clean-up of the warehouse. Drivers/Warehouse staff work a full-time schedule, may work additional hours with weekends and holidays. This job often requires early starts and late finishes, depending on the delivery destinations' locations and open hours. This job is well-suited to highly organized people who have experience working with customers, enjoy communicating with people, and have the stamina and physical fitness to lift heavy items in and out of trucks.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES​

Coordinate with operations manager for event-specific equipment needs.

Load and Unload - Warehouse drivers load and unload any equipment and ensure that the delivery vehicle and any associated equipment remain clean, tidy, and in good working order.

Oversee Delivery Schedules -Warehouse drivers deliver a variety of equipment to various locations. Whether picking up or delivering, drivers communicate regularly with the operations manager to ensure they're aware of the delivery time slot they've been assigned. If there are any hold-ups or traffic incidents, they communicate these delays ahead of time.

Report Incidents - If there are issues with a delivery or problems with the vehicle or equipment, warehouse drivers relay this information to the operations manager. They report any road incidents as well.

Return and pick gear to and from events.

Organize and clean-up warehouse.

QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Experience
-
Minimum three-five years of experience, preferably in a similar work environment.

CDL Class B is a plus.

PREFERRED SKILLS​

Warehouse drivers should have strong customer service skills, good physical fitness and stamina, and effective time management.

Organization skills - strong organization allows warehouse drivers to complete several deliveries in one day and make sure that inventories and records are kept up to date.

Time management - because warehouse drivers work strict schedules, they're good at prioritizing tasks and managing their time so that all deliveries are completed on time.

Adherence to safety - warehouse drivers must maintain safe working habits when lifting heavy items or equipment. They also adhere to road safety rules and regulations.

Communication skills - warehouse drivers work as part of a wider team and also communicate regularly with production managers, so they must have strong, professional communication skills.

Experienced in utilizing material handling equipment (dollies, pallet jacks, and forklifts).
OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Flexibility with work hours required as overtime is necessary during high volume seasons, physical inventory, and other peaks times as they arise.

Must have a clean DMV record.
