OVERVIEW
Responsible for the application of accounting principles, theories, concepts, and practices to a variety of accounting issues and transactions in order to provide accounting documentation, and reports that accurately reflect the company’s current and projected financial position. Provides guidance to the executive team as well as the account and operations team.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Expenses & General Accounting
-
Overall financial guidance to ownership.

Cash flow management.

Review MetroMultiMedia account receivables and accounts payable balances to ensure they remain current.

Guides other departments by researching and interpreting accounting policy; applying observations and recommendations to support operational growth.

Make fiscal purchase recommendations on new technology.

Work with senior management on creating planned growth of MetroMultiMedia.

Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
Event/Tradeshow Accounting

Help project managers with budgets for increased margins per event.

Communicate with vendors regarding payment questions.

Works with show team for all P&L statements.
Budgets & Reporting
-
Record income and expenses for MetroMultiMedia.
-
Reporting and analyzing financial results for MetroMultiMedia; preparing cash projections, forecast projections, and providing explanations for variances from the forecast.

Assist and organize in preparing the yearly budget for MetroMultiMedia.

Purchase orders

QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Education
-
Graduation from a recognized college or university with a B.S./B.A. in accounting, finance, business administration or a closely related field.
Experience
-
Five years of professional accounting and data processing experience with at least two years in tradeshow/event or service related accounting. Supervisory experience is strongly preferred.
PREFERRED SKILLS

Knowledge of the following software: Quickbooks, Microsoft Office, and Payroll processing softwares.

Developing Budgets, Legal Compliance, Tracking Budget Expenses, Accounting, Managing Processes, Reporting Research Results, Management Proficiency, Coordination, Motivating Others, Attention to Detail.

Knowledge of State and Governmental Taxation.
