INVENTORY CONTROL SPECIALIST

OVERVIEW

The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for assisting the warehouse/operations staff with the day-to-day task of pulling equipment per show needs, loading, and unloading trucks, managing IT equipment. In addition, the Inventory Control Specialist will assume responsibility for inventory logistics as a primary administrator of the inventory management system.


KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES​

  • Coordinate with warehouse manager for event-specific equipment needs.

  • Pull equipment as per shows needs adequately and efficiently. 

  • Execute proper practices for asset tracking/inventory control.  

  • Implement new practices for asset tracking/inventory control when needed. 

  • Perform inventory auditing 

  • Data entry of relevant inventory data

  • Review equipment to maintain proper SKU, stock level, and location information

  • Reimage laptops when returned from show site

TRAVEL

  • Minimal travel is required.

​

QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Education

  • Minimum associate’s degree or two years of experience with inventory control, preferably in a similar work environment.

Experience

  • Minimum two years of experience with inventory control, preferably in a similar work environment

PREFERRED SKILLS​

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Knowledge of inventory management systems.

  • Ability to delegate and perform hands-on duties in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to operate both independently and as part of a team.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Experienced in utilizing material handling equipment (dollies, pallet jacks, and forklifts).

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Flexibility with work hours required as overtime is necessary during high volume seasons, physical inventory, and other peaks times as they arise

  • This position is not a passive role; however, some computer and desk work is required. The job would require the ability to lift, move, sort, and store objects and may require bending, crouching, or standing on or off material handling equipment as necessary. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift, carry, push or pull materials, products and supplies, up to 75 pounds occasionally and 50 pounds frequently.
