    CAREERS SCROLL DOWN DRIVER/WAREHOUSE STAFF FULL-TIME Location: Ridgefield Park, NJ Reports to: Operations Manager Job ID: FULLDW01 Date Posted: 12/22/2021 OVERVIEW The Driver/Warehouse staff is responsible for delivering audiovisual equipment from one location to another usually from the warehouse to various locations, when not on the road they will be tasked with returning gear back to inventory, pulling equipment for new orders and clean-up of the warehouse. Drivers/Warehouse staff work a full-time schedule, may work additional hours with weekends and holidays. This job often requires early starts and late finishes, depending on the delivery destinations' locations and open hours. This job is well-suited to highly organized people who have experience working with customers, enjoy communicating with people, and have the stamina and physical fitness to lift heavy items in and out of trucks. KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Coordinate with operations manager for event-specific equipment needs. Load and Unload - Warehouse drivers load and unload any equipment and ensure that the delivery vehicle and any associated equipment remain clean, tidy, and in good working order. Oversee Delivery Schedules -Warehouse drivers deliver a variety of equipment to various locations. Whether picking up or delivering, drivers communicate regularly with the operations manager to ensure they're aware of the delivery time slot they've been assigned. If there are any hold-ups or traffic incidents, they communicate these delays ahead of time. Report Incidents - If there are issues with a delivery or problems with the vehicle or equipment, warehouse drivers relay this information to the operations manager. They report any road incidents as well. Return and pick gear to and from events. Organize and clean-up warehouse. QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS Experience Minimum three-five years of experience, preferably in a similar work environment. CDL Class B is a plus. PREFERRED SKILLS Warehouse drivers should have strong customer service skills, good physical fitness and stamina, and effective time management. Organization skills - strong organization allows warehouse drivers to complete several deliveries in one day and make sure that inventories and records are kept up to date. Time management - because warehouse drivers work strict schedules, they're good at prioritizing tasks and managing their time so that all deliveries are completed on time. Adherence to safety - warehouse drivers must maintain safe working habits when lifting heavy items or equipment. They also adhere to road safety rules and regulations. Communication skills - warehouse drivers work as part of a wider team and also communicate regularly with production managers, so they must have strong, professional communication skills. Experienced in utilizing material handling equipment (dollies, pallet jacks, and forklifts). OTHER REQUIREMENTS Flexibility with work hours required as overtime is necessary during high volume seasons, physical inventory, and other peaks times as they arise. Must have a clean DMV record. KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Collect historical cost data to estimate costs for current or future A/V equipment rental and services. Cultivate sales leads. Setting sales quotas and goals. Consult with clients, vendors, and personnel in other departments to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues. Serving as the face of the organization to internal and external partners. Prepare estimates used by management for planning, organizing, and scheduling work. Analyze floorplans and other documentation to prepare cost, materials, equipment, and labor estimates for events. Make data-informed decisions to drive performance and resource allocation Confer with management and clients on changes and adjustments to cost estimates. Assess the cost-effectiveness of products, projects, and services and track costs. Review material and labor requirements to decide whether it is more cost-effective to rent or use owned A/V equipment from the warehouse (dependent on availability and location of the event). Prepare cost and expenditure statements and other necessary documentation (MAPS) at regular intervals for the project duration. Developing and maintaining relationships with key clients. QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS Education Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent to three-five years of experience in the A/V industry. Experience Demonstrates strong technical skills, including knowledge of digital A/V production tools like Adobe Creative Suite (Acrobat), Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel), and other proprietary software programs such as FLEX Rental Solutions. Ability to work independently while maintaining confidentiality and communicate effectively verbally and written. PREFERRED SKILLS Knowledge of A/V components (at configuration level) and materials to work cohesively with an event's effective planning and production. Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes client needs, assessment, meeting quality standards of services, and evaluation of client satisfaction. Detail oriented – The job requires being careful about detail and completing tasks thoroughly. Analytical – requires analyzing information and using logic to address work-related issues and problems. OTHER REQUIREMENTS Dependable – requires being reliable, responsible, dependable, and fulfilling obligations. Persistent – occupation requires persistence in the face of obstacles.
